Description
Shelter Survival is a zombie game, but like… a colorful one? And weirdly chill. The art style's kinda cozy even though everything's falling apart. Don't let that fool you though - actually staying alive takes some work. And it's not just about hiding from zombies. You're trying to build a place people would actually want to live in.
Gameplay
You start with basically nothing:
- Throw down some floors
- Put up walls
- Grab some furniture
- Install equipment
Little by little you turn a basic shelter into an actual safe zone. And somewhere along the way, it stops being pure survival and starts feeling like you're building a mini city in the middle of all this chaos.
You're not totally alone either. There's a headquarters team that checks in and sends supplies when they can - chips, resources, whatever. Tanya runs the drone and handles deliveries so stuff doesn't fall apart. But outside help only does so much. Eventually you gotta leave the shelter and go grab things yourself.
Once you've made enough progress, you unlock a vehicle and the world opens up. Drive through abandoned spots, look for rare materials, find cash, hunt for good loot. Zombies are everywhere outside base, and fights just happen automatically - so upgrading your speed and skills actually matters if you don't want every scavenging run to go sideways.
You'll also build workbenches to craft gear, set up generators so the power stays on, upgrade production, and make your drone faster so deliveries stop taking forever. Over time your shelter can turn into a full-on settlement - gas stations, manufacturing, the whole self-sustaining thing.
Shelter Survival is basically base building + exploring + resource management, but it feels way more alive than most zombie games. One day you're patching up holes in the wall. Next thing you know, you're running an entire city.
